Product Description

The LT9 has two common configurations, two-way and one-way lighting. One-way lighting is where all four lights are positioned to bathe light in the same direction, and two-way is where each pair of lights is positioned outwards to shed the most light over the widest area, with the tower being in the centre of the light.

Using advanced computer software to analyse the light patterns created, we have set up a few scenes showing how 6,4, and 2 lighting towers could be used in different applications.

The JCB LT9 is equipped with four 1000W Metal Halide bulbs, which are detailed below. The tables at the bottom of this page show the areas lit to the given luminosities or higher.

Road Application

Below is an example of how you could use two or more lights in the One-Way configuration to light a road (if the street lights are inoperable, for example). The image shows how four lights could be arranged, but if we analyse just the central pair, we have measured that they can light 100m of the road together. Each of our lights can light 50m of road to at least 20 Lux, when only 5 lux is required. This ensures safety, especially if the road is being lit because of roadworks, as extra obstacles such as traffic cones and other construction materials can be an extra hazard for drivers. If these hazards were not present, then you can safely light the road to just 5 lux, meaning our towers will stretch even further along your length of road.
